  • Beijing embodied-AI data startup Astralive raises tens of millions of yuan in seed funding

    Beijing-based embodied intelligence data infrastructure company Astralive said it has completed a seed round and a seed-plus round, raising tens of millions of yuan in total. The seed round was led by Shunxi Fund, while the seed-plus round was led by industrial investor Luster LightTech, with Zhongguancun Capital and Yichuang Investment participating, the company said. Proceeds will mainly fund core algorithm and product research and development, the construction of real-world multimodal data infrastructure, and improvements in customer delivery and commercialization capabilities.

  • ByteDance's Seed Model team posts robotics jobs from hardware design to data evaluation

    ByteDance's Seed Model team has posted a batch of robotics-related positions on the company's website and recruitment platform BOSS Zhipin, covering robot body design, core components, low-level control, application software and data evaluation, according to the listings. One listing for a mass-production hardware product manager explicitly calls for pushing prototypes from "running a demo" to "stable delivery," the postings showed. Engineers recruited by the Seed team were generally offered 15 months' pay at more than 20,000 yuan ($2,800) a month on BOSS Zhipin.

  • Hangzhou Embodied AI Startup Sivy Perception Completes Angel Round

    Sivy Perception, a Hangzhou-based embodied intelligence technology company, said it has completed an angel funding round in the tens of millions of yuan, backed by MiraclePlus, Lingyi Ventures and Pengchen Investment. Founded in 2025, the company develops technologies related to robotic nervous systems. On the hardware side, it has launched the ASC-01 pulse-encoding chip and is using it as a foundation to develop intelligent sensing modules across modalities, including electronic skin and electronic nose, enabling robots to capture different types of external information.

    AI company Anthropic will publicly file its S-1 registration statement as early as Friday, a key step in its listing process that could create the largest IPO on record.   • Geek+ launches embodied AI model Gravity Control

    China's Geek+ said it has launched Gravity Control, an embodied AI model that enables robots to make real-time corrections during operations based on natural-language instructions, without requiring additional demonstration data collection or model retraining. In tests, the model raised the overall success rate on out-of-distribution (OOD) tasks to 87.5% from 17.5%, and lifted the success rate on a single task to 95% from 5%, the logistics robotics company said.

  • China Telecom's TeleAI incubates embodied AI startup Gamma Robotics

    China Telecom's Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (TeleAI) has incubated Gamma Robotics, an embodied AI company that has recently registered in Shanghai's Xuhui district and moved into Mosu Space, according to company information. Gamma Robotics is an independent market-oriented entity invested by China Telecom Group and incubated by TeleAI. It will co-build a humanoid robot laboratory with TeleAI.

  • MIRACLE AUTOMATION's Jiangsu robot data center amasses PB-scale embodied AI data

    MIRACLE AUTOMATION, the automotive equipment maker operating the Jiangsu Province Embodied Intelligent Robot Industrial Data Collection and Training Center, has accumulated nearly 20,000 hours and PB-scale multimodal embodied AI data, the company said. The center has built 36 first-level application scenarios and 163 second-level segmented data-collection scenarios. MIRACLE AUTOMATION is seeking to translate its long-standing production-line experience into data and technology capabilities that can support the industrial deployment of embodied AI.
