The Shandong Provincial People’s Government has issued the province’s 15th Five-Year Plan for tourism development, calling for deeper application of “AI plus tourism” and integration of artificial intelligence with Qilu cultural resources. The plan proposes exploring “embodied intelligence plus tourism” applications and supporting the deployment of climbing-assist robots in mountain scenic areas. It also calls for a new “AI plus mixed reality” guide and navigation model to build ultra-immersive experiences featuring virtual-real integration and real-time interaction.
