Apple, Alibaba partner to bring Qwen to Apple Intelligence in China

Apple and Alibaba said on Oct. 31 that they have partnered to integrate Alibaba’s Qwen into Apple Intelligence, allowing users in China to directly access Qwen’s text and image understanding and content-generation capabilities within Siri, writing tools and visual intelligence. The features will be available for testing in the latest iOS developer beta from Nov. 4 and will roll out to Chinese users with the official release of iOS 27.3 in December.

  • China's PrimeBOT unveils PrimeSim world model, tops WorldSimProbe LIBERO leaderboard

    China's PrimeBOT has launched PrimeSim, a world-model simulator for robot training, and said it topped the WorldSimProbe LIBERO leaderboard, setting a new benchmark for robot simulation performance. PrimeSim builds an interactive virtual world in which robots can trial-and-error and learn continuously, enabling efficient policy validation and reinforcement learning. In tests, reinforcement learning using PrimeSim raised policy success rates to 73.2% from 61.7%.

  • D-Robotics, Unitree team up to launch embodied AI education solution

    Chinese robotics firms D-Robotics and Unitree Robotics made their first joint appearance as exhibitors and announced a deep collaboration, launching an embodied intelligence education solution built on the Sunrise S100 compute box as its core computing platform and combining Unitree's Go2 quadruped robot and R1 humanoid robot. The solution covers hardware, curricula, practice projects integrating coursework and competitions, and teaching-environment development, providing complete support for primary and secondary schools to systematically deliver embodied AI education.

    Chinese embodied AI startup Zhicheng AI said it has completed a funding round worth several hundred million yuan, jointly invested by Hangzhou Capital, Fuzhe Technology, Caitong Capital and Linglan Capital. The proceeds will mainly support the Hangzhou-based company's push into embodied intelligence and world models and accelerate core technology R&D and product commercialization.

    Chinese robot maker AGIBOT launched GO-3 Preview on Oct. 29, an embodied model it described as a culmination of its AI WAVE efforts, designed to enable full-chain scalable learning across pre-training, post-training and post-deployment. AGIBOT said the model is built on an embodied-native architecture that unifies understanding, prediction and action. Backed by Genie Evolver and Genie Master, it extends learning from pre-training to post-training and post-deployment, allowing robots to keep improving through experience interaction and real-world operations.
