China's XIAOYUBOT, MCC steel inspection center launch embodied AI welding lab

The National Steel Structure Quality Inspection and Testing Center of MCC Building Research Institute and Beijing XIAOYUBOT Technology Co. Ltd. on Tuesday inaugurated a joint laboratory for industrial embodied intelligent welding and testing. Zeng Bin, president of the China Steel Structure Association and chief scientist at China Minmetals; Wang Haitao, party secretary and general manager of MCC Building Research Institute; Liu Dong, party secretary and chairman of MCC Testing and Certification; and Qiao Zhongliang, founder and CEO of XIAOYUBOT, unveiled the laboratory.     Shenzhen underwater robot company CHASING has completed a C+ funding round of nearly 100 million yuan ($14 million), with investors including Shenzhen Guangju Investment Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Yunchuang Qizhen, among others. Founded in 2016 by Zhang Xun, Zhou Changgen and Yang Yang, CHASING develops underwater robots. Zhang was previously a senior expert in Huawei’s core algorithm department, Zhou served as quality operations director of Huawei’s Japan region, and Yang was a project manager for Huawei HiSilicon’s mobile chip unit.

  • Shanghai Logistics Robotics Startup Yincheng Intelligent Raises Nearly 100 Million Yuan in Series A

    Shanghai-based Yincheng Intelligent, which develops and applies embodied intelligence for the logistics sector, said it has completed a Series A funding round of nearly 100 million yuan. The round was co-led by Huamin Investment and Shanghai Semiconductor Industry Investment, with existing shareholder Detong Capital increasing its investment, the company said. Separately, Yincheng Intelligent said it has secured a hundred-million-yuan-scale order from SF Express. Its robots will first be deployed in the parcel feeding process at express transfer centers, with plans to deploy thousands of units over the next two years.
