Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee unveiled the HKSAR’s first five-year economic and social development plan for 2026–2030, outlining AI as a key growth sector to empower industries, build a multi-dimensional AI ecosystem, roll out an “AI+” initiative, boost cross-sector integration, deepen data utilization and mainland collaboration, expand computing infrastructure via the Sha Ling data park, and review relevant legislation to foster a sound regulatory framework for AI development.
