Beijing Humanoid's RoboMIND dataset passes 50 million downloads

The Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center said its open-source RoboMIND dataset has surpassed 50 million cumulative global downloads since it was open-sourced in December 2025, making it the most-downloaded and fastest-growing open-source dataset in embodied AI.The latest 10 million downloads took 18 days, compared with 223 days for the first 10 million and 39 days for the second.

RoboMIND

RoboMIND is the first open-source dataset to simultaneously support dual-arm coordination, mobile manipulation, dexterous hands and high-fidelity tactile sensing, according to the center, allowing developers to train robots across a full action chain from grasping and carrying to fine manipulation.

The center also described RoboMIND as the world’s largest unified, multi-embodiment public robot manipulation dataset, with more than 400,000 dual-arm manipulation trajectories covering more than 700 real-world tasks. It ranks in the global top tier for robot embodiment coverage and for the breadth and granularity of real-world object coverage.

The center attributed demand to three factors: a growing embodied-AI workforce, rising demand for high-quality training data and a Matthew effect in which more users generate more feedback and further improve dataset quality.

RoboMIND data comes from a nearly 6,000-square-meter data base with more than 30 typical scenarios in home, retail, industrial and pharmaceutical settings. It has 40 robot configurations, more than 180 mainstream robot devices and more than 100 body-free collection devices, according to the center. Annual data capacity is 180,000 hours, with nearly 30,000 hours of high-quality data delivered externally. The center said it also led drafting of China’s first industry standard for embodied-AI datasets.

Beyond open data, the center has launched the Huisi Kaiwu app store, described as an “App Store” for embodied intelligence where users can download and deploy robot skills without developing from scratch. Developers can generate skills from video, list self-developed skills and share revenue when they are used.
