Shenzhen-based robot brain developer Ruoyu Technology said it has raised more than 100 million yuan in a Pre-A funding round led by Sunway Communication, with Jinmu Capital, Qindao Capital, Huanghai Capital and Zhongchuang Capital participating.

The proceeds will mainly fund upgrades to its Ruoyu Jiutian robot brain and expand its ecosystem partnerships, the company said.
Founder and CEO Sun Teng is a serial entrepreneur whose research focuses on multimedia computing. Founder and Chairman Nie Liqiang is director of the Information Department at HIT Shenzhen.
Co-founder and Chief Scientist Zhang Min is specially appointed assistant to the president of HIT Shenzhen, dean of the Institute of Computing and Intelligence, and a professor at the School of Computer Science and the Institute of Computing and Intelligence. In March this year, he won the Special Prize of the 2025 Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Progress Award for key technologies and applications in deep natural language understanding and generation.
Ruoyu has built three product lines: the Ruoyu Jiutian robot brain, the Ruoyu Lanyue explosion-proof robot, and the Ruoyu Tiangong embodied data collection kit.
Ruoyu Jiutian targets special-operation scenarios and provides open-world perception, long-sequence task planning, autonomous decision-making and execution. According to its website, Jiutian has 13 billion parameters and can handle instruction data for multi-task and multi-turn dialogue, image generation, video generation, Chinese-English translation, chain-of-thought and tool use.
Ruoyu Lanyue is an explosion-proof robot equipped with the Jiutian brain. In June this year, Ruoyu launched Lanyue 01, its first embodied intelligence brain system solution for refueling scenarios, capable of autonomous refueling.
Ruoyu Tiangong handles closed-loop data feedback. Its self-developed edge-processing algorithms can process raw collected data and reconstruct motion trajectories.
Ruoyu’s robot brain mainly works with robot body and scenario companies in the industrial chain through a cloud-plus-edge model and API plus SDK. Its areas of involvement include food processing, sorting, assembly, 3C and traditional manufacturing.
