UBTECH Robotics, dubbed China’s first listed humanoid robot firm, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Xiamen C&D Inc. in Xiamen, setting up a joint venture to build the Fujian headquarters of its UBTECH Ecosystem Technology Centre. The partners aim to sell no fewer than 10,000 UBTECH humanoid robots by 2030 and scale the real-world industrial deployment of embodied AI.

Embodied AI has emerged as a key frontier for fostering new quality productive forces. China included the technology on its priority list for future industries in the 2025 Government Work Report for the first time. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission have jointly launched a real-scene training initiative, targeting the capacity to deploy 10,000 units by the end of 2026, opening new opportunities for humanoid robots to enter commercial operating environments.
Xiamen C&D Inc. is a core subsidiary of Fortune Global 500 firm Xiamen C&D Group, with dual core businesses in supply chain operations and real estate development. It posted operating revenue of 671.27 billion yuan in 2025, with operations spanning more than 170 countries and regions. Its deep resources across supply chains, property and finance will supply application scenarios and sales channels for robot rollout.
UBTECH operates as an embodied AI ecosystem platform and physical AI terminal developer, with a strategic footprint covering industrial, commercial and consumer home use cases. The company has developed ROSA 2.0, its proprietary robot operating system framework, alongside an all-in-one robot management cloud platform. Its Group Brain Network 2.0 and Co-Agent technologies enable multi-robot collaboration, while advances in pure vision end-to-end navigation convert intelligent decision-making into stable, precise physical actions. These technical capabilities align closely with the scope of the new partnership.
Under the plan, the newly formed joint venture will serve as the operating entity for the Fujian headquarters, responsible for regional industrial coordination, resource integration and ecosystem services. It will deliver a one-stop industrial platform integrating maintenance support, talent training, scenario R&D, shared equipment leasing and robotics events. For market expansion, the two sides will combine C&D’s industrial channel reach and UBTECH’s product and technology strengths to pursue the 10,000-unit sales target.
For on-site deployment, they will test robots within C&D’s core business divisions, including supply chain operations and real estate development. Use cases will cover logistics warehousing, security patrols and public urban services. The partners will also explore supply chain financing schemes to lower barriers for large-scale adoption.
The tie-up will merge C&D’s scenarios, distribution networks and capital resources with UBTECH’s technology, products and delivery capacity. It will build an embodied AI industrial ecosystem anchored on “technology, scenario, capital and service”, creating a model for collaboration between state-owned enterprises and tech innovators and accelerating humanoid robots from demonstration trials to large-scale commercial rollout.
